My 2015 Book Challenge

Recently I wrote about the book challenge I undertook for 2014. It was somewhat difficult as I had to push myself through some of the texts and I felt I should read a range of genres or styles, not just stick to the traditional fantasy that I normally read. Granted some of the texts were ‘must reads’ for university, but I still wanted to expand my repertoire, so to speak.

I only chose to read a particular amount in 2014, as I was not sure of my capabilities. I honestly didn’t think I could keep up with the demand of the texts, as well as my life. I normally begin these challenge style things only to see my interest wane around the April-May section of the year.

At this point I will direct you to my 365 Photography Challenge of 2012:

January 1, 2, 3, & 4

February

March 1, 234, 5, 6 & 7

April 1, 2 & 3

May 1 & 2

June 1 & 2

July 1 & 2

Back to the task at hand, my challenge for 2015:

The 9GAG reading Challenge!!

2015 challenge

I will, of course maintain a log of my reading, but am unsure if I should work down the list in order, or try to knock out them out easiest to hardest. I will not be cheating, for instance I have read Game of Thrones, so I will not simply re-read one of those books. I also want a different text for each goal, so I won’t read a trilogy by a female author i have never read before. I count 52 books.

I would love suggestions on how to tackle this list. Top-to-bottom or easiest to hardest or alphabetical order (???) ?

I would also love input on whether I should make updates on my list as I go through it, or if that would bog people down, and so should just update my list at the end of 2015?

Can you recommend any books to fill any of the goals? I promise I won’t be snob! I think my first will be ‘A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens’.

Please, any input would be so much appreciated!

I am in my mid twenties and fighting my battles to discover who I am and where I fit in to this zany, beautiful world. I was diagnosed with Lupus in in 2008. This takes up most of my focus, as I want to share the experience of trying to live with and rise above chronic invisible illness, so to speak. I would like to stress very much the information regarding medications, medical procedures and illnesses are discussed from my point of view, and with my understanding, colloquialisms and metaphors. I do not attempt to be legally and precisely accurate for the general population, rather I try to be emotionally and descriptively true to my experiences. I hope I can help in understanding others with chronic illness by providing one more personal recount of just how spontaneous and difficult these lives really are. One day I hope to visit every continent, climb some pretty high mountains, sleep in an ice cavern, marry a wonderfully understanding man, have children and teach more children. Mostly, I just want a simple life, you know the house with a husband and kids. Oh, and no pain.
