Australia is such a beautiful place. Sometimes it is unbelievable how much there is to see in the little slices of nature that are all around us. Sometimes it seems like the views are taken for granted.
So many people in Perth drive along the ocean daily on their way to work or study. So many people take routes through the outer bush lands, or along the Swan River. So many opportunities to view the city are lost behind phone screens or the unfocused eyes of someone trying to ignore the person who is standing a little to close for comfort on the train.
I work across from Cottesloe beach and some mornings I leave a little early so I can stop in and sit on the shore for a while, enjoying the view. Some mornings there are paddlers, runners, dogs. Some mornings the wind is strong and the water is choppy. Some mornings I even take Wardog out and go for a quiet paddle.
This week I planned my morning stop over to coincide with a paddle demo with some of the international Starboard crew. Sadly, the best photo I took this morning was of the storm rolling in over the port.
