Yesterday while I was down here on the internet Shrimp went to sleep in the room. If you are not aware as yet, he is a deeper sleepr than me. And he had the room key. After 20 minutes making a hell-raising racket at our door, I went to reception for help.
We had already left a questionable impression at reception during book-in, so I am sure they had us pegged as the disfunctional “couple” of the decade by the time I managed to wrangle a spare key out of them. Don’t even get me started on the Wi Fi debate that ensued with the French receptionist!
Sleep was solid and awesome. Continental breakfast, including waffles and nutella!
Shrimp got to pick the first activity-a nice stroll around the local streets to see places where famous Disney movies had been filmed. Now before I start please bring up a map of Central London in a new page and I will shorten this down…
From Norfolk Square Paddington we walked to… Marble Arch.Oxford Circus. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. Picadilly Circus. Trafalgar Square. Chancery Lane. St Pauls Cathedral. Aldgate. “The Gherkin”. Somerset House. St Georges Cathedral. The London Eye. Big Ben. Buckingham Palace. Green Park. Through Hyde Park to Lancaster Gate and back to the Pub across from our hotel.
We LOVE the Hambleys and the Disney store. Tomorrow we will be going back to purchase a few choice items for gifts and whatnot. Shrimp was limping by Trafalgar and my shoulders were cramped by Aldgate. My shoes are falling apart already.
Walrus: The walk was great, thank you.
Nelly: The architraves are everything you could image and more in St Paul’s but I’m sorry-no photography!
Dad: Thanks for your message but I think I get charged too so prolly best not to send one again.
Courdy: I keep thinking about your rash and thankling God I am not allergic to travel like you are!
Mr Workaholic is just having a shower then it’s off to dinner. For every work thing he does he owes me a pint and I will be drinking a bit tonight *hehe*
Also the count is now Shrimp=51 Jessie=1
Tomorrow we are off shopping and sightseeing with Aimee
